Student Life
Visual Arts

Calvary visual artists are offered a wide array of opportunities for creativity and growth.

At the elementary level, students learn the joy of creating and expressing themselves artistically. Students receive a balanced classroom experience of learning new skills and exposure to a multitude of media which include drawing, painting, sculpture, clay and more. Individual growth and expression is encouraged.

Upper level art classes contain more challenging projects and opportunities for a diversified art experience are met through traditional classes, with more exposure to art history and digital media.

Students can participate in

  • Local and national art contests
  • National Junior Art Honor Society
  • National Honor Society

"Artistic thinking" is an important element of each art class at every level as the students learn how to be problem solvers and creative thinkers. Such lessons and skills build confidence that are valuable beyond the art room.
