Student Life
Welcome to CEP Athletics!
Physical Education and athletics are critical components of Calvary's mission to develop the whole child. Athletic competition adds to our school spirit and helps all students, spectators, and participants develop pride in our school. Through athletics students develop greater confidence and increased self-esteem, and learn to accept personal responsibility.

At Calvary we offer the following school sports:  Cheer, Pep Squad, Flag Football (Fall), Soccer (Fall), Volleyball (Fall), Boys & Girls Basketball (Winter), Track & Field (Spring), Tennis (Spring), Golf (Spring), Badminton, Bowling, riflrey, and Archery.

Athletic Program Participation Guide

The Athletic Program Participation Guide outlines participation in athletics at Calvary. Parents and athletes must sign the acknowledgement form and return to the front office or coach.

Middle School Athletics

Middle school students compete in the West Houston Christian Athletic Conference (WHCAC).  The WCHAC was founded in 1992 by six Christian schools with a desire to provide middle school students an opportunity to play sports in a competitive setting in the west Houston geographical area. The main goal of this league is for the athletes to show the character and attitude of Christ while competing in athletic events.

WHCAC basic philosophy consists of the following beliefs:
  • WHCAC believes that God enjoys watching His children have fun!
  • WHCAC believes that all member Coaches are men and women of God first, and our athletes should see us as examples of honesty, integrity, and good sportsmanship.
  • WHCAC believes that as athletes, our students should understand that the same determination, commitment, sweat, playing with pain, and “give it all you’ve got” attitude that it takes to be a good student and a good athlete, are the same ingredients used to make a successful Christian.
  • WHCAC believes that all schools participating in this conference should do everything possible to ensure the excellent reputation of the conference within their community, as well as among their own student body and parents.
