Calvary Episcopal Preparatory views serving others as an integral part of a child’s development and learning. In the past years, we have served in many capacities including Lunches of Love, Lord of the Streets, The Rainbow Room, Kairos Ministry, The Animal Shelter, Santa Behind the Badge, Adopt-A-Family, George Ranch Historical Park, Preston Street Gardens, and the local nursing homes.
Above and beyond the grade level community service expectations, Calvary High School students are required to get a minimum of 120 hours of community service hours in their four years. Students who achieve 160 hours earn service cords for graduation. Each high school student picks an organization that they want to spend at least half of their hours assisting and learning from. Jesus set the example for us and taught us about the importance of serving one another, and it is our goal to instill this servanthood into our students.
